Looking Back At 2018

1. What was the best song of 2018?
The best song was SAD! by XXXTENTACION. I chose this song because he sings about how sad he is that his relationship ended. I think it's something that a lot of people can connect to. He also says how much pain he's in while he's in love. I think it was the best because it's something I can connect to more than the other songs.

2. What was the best movie of 2018?
The best movie was Instant Family. I chose this one because it was based on a true story of a family that adopted children. It shows all the hardships and good moments they went through when first fostering the kids. I can also relate to the movie, since I was adopted. This was the best movie because I could put myself in the character's shoes and know what they went through since I went through some of it too.

3. What was the most important news story of the year?
The most important news story of the year was the March For Our Lives. I chose this story because so many people came together, literally, to fight for something they believed in. Students would stand outside of school and some people even marched to the white house. I think it's the most important because you can see how even with some of our differences, everyone can get together to fight for what they think is right.

4. Who was the most important person of 2018 in your opinion?
The most important person of 2018 was Meghan Markle. She's the most important person because she was an actor that married a prince. When I think about her I don't think of anything negative. The event of the wedding had a lot of people forgetting about the negative stuff and thinking about how amazing the wedding was. I chose her because even with all the fame and attention, she seems like a very humble person.

 5. What was the biggest sports story of 2018?
The biggest sports story of 2018 was France winning the FIFA World Cup. I chose this because I like to watch and play soccer. It was France's second World Cup. They beat Croatia 4-2 in Moscow, Russia. This was the biggest sports story because most people were cheering on Messi since this was his last year to play but instead France won.

          Alfred Stieglitz was a very skilled photographer that took photos in black and white. Stieglitz was born in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1864. He went to school in Germany for engineering in 1881 and went to Technische Hochschule in Berlin for photochemistry in 1882. Abandoned Theme Parks

1. Which amusement park featured in the two articles would you like to visit and take your camera along and what about that park makes you want to go there? I would like to visit Land of Oz in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. It doesn't look so scary and since it's abandoned, there won't be people getting in your shots if you wanted to have a model to pose on the yellow brick road or going into a castle. Also, The Wizard of Oz movie turned into an amusement park is great. To see it abandoned would be terrifying but more realistic than having people walking everywhere, even in the forest. 2. Is it a private building or can you visit it? You can visit the building. 5. Is there information on how much it cost to build? There's no information on how much it cost to build. 6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? The building was inspired by the Modernista movement. 7. Why did you pick this building?  I picked this building because I saw how the exterior was wavy and it drew my attention.
