2. The lighting.e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like? I liked how they had pictures of children and people getting help and looking happy in a clinic. I didn't like how they cut off things in the photo because I couldn't tell what the people were going after, staring at, etc.

a. Name of photographer - Justin Mott
b. General focus of portfolio (photojournalism, sports, stories, etc.)- Around The World

1. In the first photo, they could see the story really well and could see the emotion on the lady's face.
2. They liked how the person was trying different points of view.
e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like? I liked how almost all of their photos told a story and was shot in different places in the world. I didn't like how they did selective focus on some because it made the whole photo look blurry.

Video #4
a. Name of photographer - Jordan Murph
b. General focus of portfolio (photojournalism, sports, stories, etc.)- Sports
c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio -

1. Needed to expand the point of view.
2. It was a sports portfolio and the photographer put in a random photo of a wave.
3. One of the photos was staged so the photographer could capture a shadow even though he has taken pictures of a lot of shadows.
d. List two things the judges like-
1. They liked how you could see the defender's shadow, the volleyball player's arm, and they liked the lighting.
2. In the baseball photo, they liked how the photographer captured a great specific moment at the end of a game and how the photographer executed the shot, even though they've seen sports photos like it all the time.
e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like? I like how professional almost all of the photos looked. I didn't like how he threw in random photos.

2. Watch the winning portfolio critique (Dustin Snipes), and post the following:
a. What did the judges note as strengths as they were critiquing it?

They noted that Snipes did good with catching moments and getting pictures where everyone was doing something.

b. What do you see as strengths? Do you see any weaknesses?
What I see as strengths was the portfolio was based off of sports and didn't have any random photos. As weaknesses, I saw that some photos just had too much going on.

3. Watch the contest recap video at the very bottom:
a. Briefly describe the process the judges went through in deciding the winner.
The judges would click on a portfolio and list all the strengths and weaknesses of each one and how they could do better. They would explain why the portfolio wasn't good or was good. Then, they would go back and forth and bring up different points to debate about.

Part 2: Individual Images
1. Describe one photo that you agree with the judges on. Explain why you and the judges do or do not like it.
In one of the photos that the judges liked, there was a girl in a purple shirt getting attacked by a goose while running. I thought the photo was comical because you don't see anything like it during the day.

2. Describe one photo that you DO NOT agree with the judges on. Explain why you think the judges are wrong.

In a photo that the judges liked, there was a girl that threw her tennis racket in the air, raised her arms up, and leaned her head back. I wouldn't have chosen that photo to be in the top three because you couldn't see her face and you couldn't see what the situation was that well.
