1. Why did you pick this image? What caught your eye? I picked this image because it looked moving. What caught my eye were the 2 black men holding their fists up. 2. What did you read about the photo and use about 2-3 sentences explaining the photo. The 2 men holding up their fist are American sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos. Dominis quickly zoomed in on them and took the shot. Smith and Carlos wanted to show that everything wasn't alright. You can see how Smith took off his shoes showing off black socks. You can also see that Smith is holding a box that we don't know what's in it. 3. Every photo has some additional information, links, readings, or videos associated. What else did you learn in addition to the actual photo? Raised hands with black gloves show unity of black America and black power. Black scarf shows black pride. 1. Why did you pick this image? What caught your eye? I picked this image because when I first saw the photo, it looked like the members of The Beatles having a pillow fight and laughing. What caught my eye was that when I was looking through so many photos that were depressing and sad, this one was happy and funny. 2. What did you read about the photo and use about 2-3 sentences explaining the photo. Benson didn't even want to go and take photos of The Beatles and now he doesn't regret going. The photo was taken in the George V Hotel. That night, The Beatles found out that their song "I Want To Hold Your Hand" made Number 1 in the US. The photo shows how happy and excited they are. It also shows how close they were, like brothers almost. 3. Every photo has some additional information, links, readings, or videos associated. I chose this photo because you can see the lines from the buildings going up and the diagonal lines from the fountain. Here's an example of  Balance . I chose this photo because not one part of the photo is getting more attention than the other parts and it looks well balanced. Here's an example of  Framing . I chose this photo because the fireman is in the frame of the broken wall. Here's an example of  Avoiding Mergers . I chose this photo because no objects merge with the woman and it's just her in the cloud of dust.
